A Foot in the Past is a Step Forward

Most days I would argue that holding onto shards of history keeps us stuck in the past.

Today isn’t most days.

Today is a day that the US Congress has begun to talk about making reparations to Black people.

This sounds reasonable on the face of it, and at the same time, my Dad brought up some great questions the other day: Reparations to whom? How much? For how long?
