Belief about Over- Done Respect

Earlier this morning, I said THIS:

It follows that since it serves in our best interest to educate the ignorant, that the ignorant who reject the offering of facts are a drain on society.

Let me give some examples. I’ll start with the ridiculous category of what- ifs:

What if your baby refused to potty train?

He/she would be unwelcome at schools so until he was old enough to stay home alone, you’d have to home school him/her or put him/her in online school. You’d continue to have to pay for diapers until your kid refused to wear them. You’d have to clean the house and get it professionally cleaned, regularly as poop is a bio- hazardous material. The stress of all the above would take a toll on your own health, marriage and work life that would end up costing you in medical, mental health and divorce bills. ………..I could go on but we really need to get on with the next.

This next one is less ridiculous in that people actually do this:

What if you hire someone who refuses to learn to do or to do a task for which they were hired?

I was a Massage Therapist with my own practice for over 20 years. I sometimes hired a friend in the field to help me when I had a couple that wanted a “couple’s massage”. If my friend had refused to learn how to give a decent massage, it would have reflected poorly on my business. I would have lost business and that would, potentially/eventually, have led to my not being able to pay my bills.

My friends never did that, but one had to rely on a bus that would only SOMETIMES onboard his bicycle in order to get to the massage studio.

I LEARNED to rely more on my friends who had their own transportation or to give my public transportation reliant friend a ride when I needed him.
