My son and I were talking about allergy season this morning. You’d think with Covid being what it is, we’d consider ourselves lucky to be plagued by only mild allergies and leave it at that.
Nope.
After we spent 40 or so seconds complaining, we began to wonder what was going through the mind of the Universe or the Great Creator, when the human body was conceived.
All things have to be exactly right for us to be able to function.
If we’re too hot, we die. If we’re too cold we die. If we don’t eat, we die. If we don’t drink, we die. If we don’t f*&k………we die old and cranky.
Our bodies contain things that do really important things and the Universe (or whatever deity you pray to) saw fit to make those bodies fragile and susceptible to germs and weather and stupid people with guns.
I’m not saying that all people with guns are stupid, or that it’s stupid to have a gun. I’m just saying that anyone can have and use a gun, and those people aren’t always the best and brightest of our society.
Statistics tell us that as of 2018 the US is the second best educated country in the world. That sounds great on the face of it, but for every one of those headlines that highlights that statistic, there are at least four that tell us how far behind the times we are, with all our drop-outs and our school to prison pipeline, and the technology boosted cheating.
