Finding Myself in the Nation of California

Lately, there has been some division in the ranks of the movement for California independence.

Nevertheless, She (the movement) persisted.

We are still all pushing for Nationhood in our own ways.

I have broken with YES California because they are allying themselves with Russia and other world powers. On the face of it, this would seem to be a good idea, except that public opinion does not currently favor Russia, and that will hurt the image of YES California and has already done so.

Also if we begin to ally ourselves with the governments of other countries, we have to choose sides. There is always a party that IS in power, and a party that ISN’T. The side we would be choosing is that of the party in power, in any given country. That may mean that we would be backing the oppressors of marginalized peoples.

That kind of oppression is something that Californians for California Independence all profess to revile and wish to bring to an end.

So I have begun on a new journey to the predetermined and inevitable destination of a free and sovereign California.

The US is utterly incapable of holding the states together for much longer and has never been capable of serving the majority of her people from a far flung “Capital Hill”. The movement for independence is not new and will not be the factor that tears the states apart. We probably won’t even be that last feather that tips the scales in…
