Great and Not So Great Motivators
Humans are emotional beings. There isn’t a single thing that’s ever been accomplished by Man that wasn’t motivated by our feelings.
Maybe we were driven by our desire for nice things. Maybe we were driven by a mild irritation to get a task“out of the way”. Maybe we knew that it would make a loved one smile, if we washed their car or cooked them dinner.
In the end, it all comes down to our being happy, irritated, desirous, or outraged………
But isn’t rage always bad?
What a wonderful question! Thanks for asking!
Rage can be bad or good. It all depends on how you act on it.
This Deputies rage was fueled by booze and “made him” do a bad thing. The outrage of the community that was plagued by the result of his drunkenly beating up a 12 year old girl while she was innocently playing with a dog near his table at a restaurant got him fired.
In MY book, that made the outrage of the community a GOOD thing.
Outrage is easy to come by, these days and sometimes it’s a good thing. On the other hand, Karens are often outraged over non- issues and issues in which they don’t personally have a vested interest.
One wonders why these Karens don’t have other things with which to occupy their time that don’t involve judging others. “Idle hands….” and all that…..One also wonders if these same Karens are the ones that also constantly complain about the trials and tribulations…
