Hello Again From Your Health Tip Guru
Hello again!
I hope that all my readers are happy and healthy. I am still on this amazing journey to better health and happiness, as we all are, all the time. I am quite pleased to be able to report that I am losing a bit of weight, and my body is starting to feel better and better. I attribute it to the little exercises that my personal trainer showed me and to walking with my 16 year old son, and our two dogs, every chance I get.
I should probably be walking them now, in fact. That would give him just a bit more time to sleep, before I get him off to music club.
I’m not already walking them, because I suddenly remembered something inspiring from the internet, related to health and wellness. You’ll find it here:
http://www.99advice.com/2019/05/top-11-Amazing-Health-Benefits-of-Delicious-Litchi.html
It’s not even so much about the Litchi nuts as it is about the site where you’ll find that post. That site is on MEWE.COM. (https://mewe.com/myworld) There’s lots of fun stuff posted there, such as Q currency. I’m still learning about that, myself. You’ll also find posts related to juicing, Kombucha and Kefir making, essential oils for health, and maybe even some recipes using cannabis leaves.
What you won’t find is a political shouting match. MEWE is not your typical social media, in that regard, so you’ll have to wipe the political doo-doo off your boots as you enter.
MEWE is sort of a jumping off point where you can find home pages of the good folks that post all this great health oriented advice, and hobby related tips. I happen to love the stuff about prepping and camping hacks, even though I’m a miserable camper, and plan to never do it again.
I just figure it’s always good to know a few things about surviving in the wild, in case I ever get lost from a hiking group, because my son and I really love to hike. There’s always something interesting to see, outdoors. I tend to find some of our best fun through sites like these:
https://friendsofthepetalumariver.org/
https://www.petaluma360.com/entertainment/8516340-181/more-movies-in-the-park
Okay, so that last one is for just lying around, relaxing with my son, but that’s part of making yourself happy, too. It gets us outdoors and in touch with our community. We just make sure to dress warm, and wear bug spray, because the movie is an evening event, on a lawn, and SOME bugs are good for our health, while others …………….aren’t.
Bees, for instance. Without bees,…….. WE DIE. We need them to pollinate and cross pollinate our food plants. That’s why we need more grass roots activism that involves nurturing bees, rather than endangering ourselves or others. Simply planting your yard with food for bees, is going to be one of our best defenses against climate change, death by capitalism, and fascist rule:

The government, still hasn’t found a way to litigate what you plant in your own backyard. Of course there are always the few truly ignorant folk that just want to see the world burn:

Which makes our individual efforts all the more important, if not imperative.
And we would do well to learn sustainable farming methods from the real experts………….They peopled the Americas long before we did, and experienced fewer wildfires and mudslides, because they knew how to farm sustainably, save for lean times, and allow nature time to regenerate after long use:
The Soil Not Oil organization is already hard at work, trying to teach us how to do what those Indigenous Peoples were doing, before we invaded the Americas, from Europe:
http://www.soilnotoilcoalition.org/
A couple of people that I know who have close ties to that organization are:
Marcus Ruiz and Kanyon Sayer-Roods, AKA Coyote Woman.
You can find Ms. Sayer- Roods here:
And Marcus Ruiz is a prolific author and President of Return California:
The weekly conference calls of Return California are open to everyone who cares about California’s future, and is open minded about a certain amount of autonomy and giving some of the Federal lands back to our Indigenous brothers and sisters, so that we can begin to learn from them what we should have, when we first came to the Americas. ………..
PROPER SERVITOR-SHIP of the land, and SUSTAINABLE living.
I’ve found that taking positive action for the sake of the change that I want to see in the world, is actually the thing that is helping me to lose the most weight, and feel the healthiest. It gets me marching in protest to protect dying species and hiking so that I can learn about those plants and animal species.
I highly recommend getting angry.
But don’t just get angry. Anger alone doesn’t change anything.
Let your anger fuel you and trigger your action. Any cause will do, as long as it really riles you up. That’s energy that will get you moving and doing and give you purpose.
