Here There Be Monsters!

There ARE monsters in this world. Sadly, many of them are protected by a little thing called “Qualified Immunity” and a badge. They are protected by the badge and the immunity whether they deserve it or not. They seem to not even know or understand the laws that they are hired to enforce or to pay much attention to the police motto of “Serve and Protect”.

(So many are the badged monsters, that I considered titling this post: The OTHER Plague or: Dear Cops, We’re not making you look like idiots……YOU ARE!!).

In total, 376 law enforcement officers — a force larger than the garrison that defended the Alamo — descended upon the school in a chaotic, uncoordinated scene that lasted for more than an hour. The group was devoid of clear leadership, basic communications and sufficient urgency to take down the gunman, the report says.

Sadder still, We The People have little to rely on in the way of checks and balances when it comes to protection from and reparations for police corruption and brutality. The Internal Affairs Investigators may not even have a degree higher than a GED!

Even though most internal affairs investigators have a college degree, it’s possible to become one with only a high school degree or GED.
