If Coronavirus Were a Pedophile

Let’s pretend, for a moment, that Covid was the name of a repeat offender Pedophile, newly released after a very short term in prison.

Now let’s pretend that authorities have told you that this Pedophile was moving into an apartment complex somewhere near you. There is one at the end of the block, but it could also be the one on the other side of the block, or the one at the very end of your very long street that meets with the main thoroughfare.

Now let’s pretend that you really don’t know anything about him, other than the fact that he presents a threat to your very young child who walks to the school bus every day, on that street. You don’t know what he looks like, his age, what he drives, or his M.O.

I don’t know about you, but I would be taking precautions to protect my child, under those circumstances.

I would be walking my child to the bus, staying with them until they boarded, and privately talking to my child about “Stranger- Danger”. It’s not so far-fetched to apply all of this to the real circumstances of Covid, today.

• Our health care professionals have warned us that it has “moved into” our communities.
• Our health care professionals have told us that it’s dangerous and can even be deadly.
• Our health care professionals have EVEN told us how to take preventative measures.
