See the “shop now” button under the little pics of the shirts with the guns painted on ‘em? That’s how you know it’s a “marketing ploy”.
What’s the ploy?
I’m glad you asked because I wouldn’t have bothered to mention it if I wasn’t going to tell you. Anyone that knows my writing will tell you how much I love to explain myself. Here it is:
The shirt seller has associated a weapon of mass destruction with freedom and patriotism.
The shirt says nothing about the right to bear arms. It only puts forward the insistence that owning a weapon is the “patriotic” thing to do.
Does the shirt seller own a weapon? We don’t know.
Does the shirt seller vote for politicians who support this ridiculous idea? Again, we don’t know.
Would the shirt seller be willing to fight and die for this country with such a weapon? Have they risked their life to do so? Not a clue.
