It's well thought out and controversial. That will get people to READ it. Many will disagree and I'm one of them but the logic of your solution is reasonable. You're right when you mention that it's going to be difficult for many of us to extend that olive branch when the MAGAs have been nothing but hateful to us since 2016.......

Some of us may simply no longer HAVE any grace to give them. I'm in that camp.

They ALLOWED themselves to be conned and turned into hateful people. They ALLOWED injustice and evil to prevail and CHEERED for the guy that mocked a disabled reporter, defrauded the IRS and preyed on women and young women.

Birds of a feather- they sided w/ a bully so they ARE bullies and I won't trust them to be within arm's length of me or my family. I won't give bullies a 2nd chance to bully me or mine.

I won't go out looking to hurt them, but I wouldn't help them if they were on fire, either.
