Meaning of marriage.
I found this fun fact on
https://www.dailyjokes247.com/post/meaning-of-marriage
Marriage is loving someone so much that you forgive them for occasionally being the most annoying person in the world.
In this day and age love is such a throw away thing. People say it without even meaning it and ‘jump ship’ at the first sign of trouble. But the key to real, long lasting relationships is to be forgiving. Everyone has faults and flaws, work through the issues you have together and just communicate! No one is saying living day in day out with someone 24/7 wont bring issues, mannerism and annoying habits can really start to aggravate you, but that’s what makes it love. You can get over the annoying quirks and even though they annoy the hell out of you, you wouldn’t be without them.
This is something that I’ve been saying for years, but this author was just really eloquent, while being short and sweet.
When I tried to tell younger people about what marriage really is, I often went off on tangents, about how they really hadn’t ever been taught how to live and support their spouses, within the context of a marriage.
To explain the concept to them, I often started with what a marriage ISN’T.
It’s not all romance and Valentine’s gifts of chocolates, wine and roses. It’s not just a sharing of common interests or favorite past times, like long walks on the beach, rock climbing, or para-gliding. It’s not just setting up house, together.
