Open Letter to Business Insider…I Expected Better
Dear Business Insider,
Because Mediabiasfactcheck.com gave you a high rating for factual reporting, I really expected you to have shown us some sources for your article on California’s secession movement, or at least some actual FACTS.
Sadly, your reporter, Charles R. Davis started out with a headline that was either MISinformation or DISinformation and there IS a difference.
The last few words of the headline are “the US government alleges” but Davis doesn’t go on to explain the fallacy in that accusation.
(Note that I included and will continue to include hyperlinks to reliable sources so that this article will not be mistaken for my own opinion, as I explain the fallacy here).
The allegation (as yet unproven) is that the secession MOVEMENT was funded by Russian agents.
I assure you, Good Reader, that if that had been the case, California would already be its own nation because we have been trying to secede for several years now and I was there when the current movement began in the first months of 45’s reign of terror. I wish that I’d started to write about it from the beginning but a lot of people were way ahead of me. Sadly, a lot of those people were as mis/disinformed as Mr. Davis.
I will pose this question to my readers to drive the point home:
What sources of PROOF did Mr. Davis cite that the allegations were true?
