Open letter to US politicians that voted to tolerate Nazi-ism in the US:
Dear politicians, this is why I’ve disowned the United States, as my homeland. In voting against the UN’s condemnation of Nazi-ism, here in the US, you have completely ignored, or forgotten one of the basic tenants of our own Constitution, and invited White Supremacists to do their worst. You have opened the door to a repetition of one of the most disgraceful periods of history that the world has ever known. In doing so, you have dishonored yourselves AND those who stood up and died taking a stand against the genocide of the Jewish race, in Germany.
My home city of San Francisco has never made me feel shame. Neither has my home state of California.
Sadly, by stark contrast, my nation’s politicians have sent a clear message to White Supremacists that their aggressive and even violent racism is acceptable. In your eyes, this is what passes for “serving your nation”, and yes, believe it or not, you were elected to SERVE us the American People, and by that, the Constitution of the US meant ALL the American people, regardless of race or ethnicity. It’s also what WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE pay you to do.
I guess that I shouldn’t be surprised. I mean look at who you installed (by way of treason and gerrymandering) as president. There were signs, even before he began his campaign for presidency, that he had NO LOVE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE:
He had illegally fired Vets returning to his employ, for having been away too long on tours of duty, proving that he cared neither for Vets, nor for the working class. He cheated his contractors, lawyers, and students at his University, proving, again, that he cared nothing for the working class, or for those of his countrymen trying to improve themselves. He dodged FIVE drafts, proving that he cared nothing about this great country, that he later professed to be qualified to lead.
Those qualifications that tRump touted, so incessantly, were lies, and the statistics to prove those lies were readily available, to us, AND TO YOU, before he began his campaign. Many of his businesses had failed and many others had gone bankrupt. He said that he’d “make America great again”, while his gift shops were filled with items made only in foreign countries, and his vineyards were filled with immigrant pickers.
Funny how he now denies the rest of America the benefit of her immigrant workers, when they have ever been the backbone of the American economy. *1. I find that rather treasonous, since it has already cost America’s farmers about $26 Billion in rotting crops and lost trade with Mexico. It’s also funny how in his eyes, America suddenly doesn’t include Puerto Rico, or California, in their time of need or children of immigrants that were born here, and promised succor by his predecessors. Strange too, how America’s Native Americans- the people here before us- are still getting the shaft, every time we make policy. Every time policy is made, they are ignored or insulted or both. Every time the name Pocahontas comes out of the mouth of any Republican politician, (especially tRump) it has been in the context of an insult, proving only the extent of your ignorance and that of the man who professes to be “president” to ALL America while denying critical emergency aid to two of her states.
Republican politicians, I call you out. You knowingly follow a contemptuous (of his own country) man who not only has been proved to be unfit and unqualified for the position of president, but one who has never acted on anyone’s behalf but his own. He condoned the maimings and violence against the Water Protectors in Dakota, so he was no “president” to them. He has not divested of his holdings, in order to be a legal and legitimate “president” to the rest of us. We have audio recordings of his sexually abusive attitude toward women, which means that you are following a man who can’t possibly be a good “president” to the women that make up half of his constituency. ………….and by default, your’s.
Since you follow and even defend and apologize for such a tyrannical narcissist, who speaks ignorantly and crudely about many different peoples and women, I cannot in good conscience point you out to my son as good examples of common decency.
Since I don’t believe in your common decency, I can’t in good conscience pledge my allegiance to you or to those who follow you.
I am no longer an American.
I am a Californian, and I will do everything in my power to push my Country of California ever closer to secession, for the sake of her honor, safety, (from White Supremacy, and police brutality fomented and condoned by your leader) and economic health.
