Sometimes it’s NOT Perfect….

I posted a blog, a few days ago, titled: Sometimes it’s Perfect. As you can probably, already guess, today is not one of those days, for me.

I really enjoyed my long, and beautiful weekend of acting at the Renaissance Fair, this past weekend, even though it was physically taxing, to the point where I’ve needed these past two days to recover.

I much less enjoyed having to go get my son from a makeup Lab, yesterday, that I had only heard about, late the evening before, and then when I turned around to take him back again, Today for the regular lab, I found that Guys
Men
Republicans - listen closely ....

Your day has arrived - finally
took a long time
but we are patient
you can no longer behave badly
Immorally....illegally and get away with it ....

We don't need your approval
we are not asking for your support
we are independent...fearless...effective and autonomous women
we speak for those that cannot....

We have agency over our bodies and
you will not take those protections away
How dare you try
Not now
Not ever
The consequences will be severe .....

You are the last of a dying breed
of a worn out model of governance
Your ways of being are irrelevant and offensive
You lie with impugnity
You degrade through your weakness
Your anger stems from profound self loathing
You will not project your neuroses onto us
It's stench is appalling .....

No more ....

The light is shining on your flagrant misuse of power
Your intent to go back to the time when women were silenced...kept barefoot and pregnant is laughable ......you don't believe in science ...but check out growth and evolution...

We have our marching shoes at the ready
Our boots have thick soles
We will take you down....🌊🌊🌊

Be afraid .....your days in Congress are numbered ...10, 9, 8......

There is no amount of russian interference that can prevent us from voting you - out

©Lindaen given the wrong time. Now we have to do another makeup.

I am certainly hoping that tomorrow is better. Maybe, by most people’s standards, there’s no such thing as “perfect”, but I’ve had a lot of days that were better than this one. And Mom always promised, at the end of a bad day, that tomorrow would be better.

Maybe that’s why I keep hoping that our current administration will “Man Up” and stop trying to excuse and cover for a rapist.

Sadly, day after day, I see only more acceptance of and excusing of his past, from the governing body that is supposed to be looking out for the best interest of the ENTIRE US population- after all- WE pay their wages.

Actually, we OVERpay their wages. Employers are supposed to have enough money to cut a regular paycheck for their employees, and still be able to live comfortably, themselves. Who among us is able to “comfortably” AFFORD their own healthcare, along with regular rent, groceries, electricity, hot and cold running water, education for their kids, car insurance, gas and maintenance, insurance on their home, taxes, and emergency funds for those unexpected things?

Who among us can manage all those things, AND buy their family a yacht, like Betsy Devos or dinners out like the GOP members that we’re, lately, seeing chased out of restaurants? When was the last time, you went on a date night, that included a nice dinner and a movie? When was your last vacation, away? When were you last able to plan to buy a new, expensive, room full of furniture, like our GOP members who then claimed that it was all their wives’ doing?

Meanwhile Flint and Puerto Rico still have no clean water or power, in some areas, and plenty of Californians are still trying to recover from wildfires, and the best that our “president” can do is throw paper towels, and allow for the hiding of evidence that politicians covered for those in charge of water treatment in Flint, and for those who have always overcharged for electricity to Puerto Rico.

Also, while the current regime, waits and hopes that we will forget their “CRIMINAL NEGLECT” (that’s what it would be called, if your doctor, lawyer, or car mechanic treated you, this way) of the American people of Puerto Rico and Flint Michigan, we are working to remember their tax cuts only for the rich; the fact that they treasonously installed a Russian puppet, in the Oval Office; (and now they’re trying to fire the man investigating it- Mueller) the fact that there were at least 4,000 lawsuits against the man, when they inaugurated him; the fact that he has had 4 wives and cheated on each of them; the fact that he has something rude and bigoted to say about EVERY community that makes up our once proud nation, and the fact that he brags about doing things that none of us would ever do, (much less brag about) in our right minds: Grab ‘em by the pussy; I moved on her like a……; I have the biggest words………I’m like a really smart guy.

He is apparently SO MUCH like a smart guy, that he needs a parade to his own glory, while much of his nation needs their basic survival needs met, after the latest natural disasters.

He is SO MUCH like a smart guy, that he signed documents with a Korean leader that were full of empty promises, on both sides, regarding disarming nukes.

He is SO MUCH like a smart guy that he has started trade wars, with other nations, that have already harmed our economy, and he thinks that he has made us richer and greater than we were, by this.

He is SO MUCH like a smart guy, that he thought that he was within his rights, as a “president”, to say, publicly, that athletes that kneel for the anthem should be fired. That was an abuse of his power, according to our Constitution, that he is sworn to uphold and protect, and he has actually ALSO said that the Constitution is very unfair to HIM, and bad for the country and that it should be scrapped.

But kneeling, while people are saluting and singing to a piece of fabric, at the top of a pole, when that fabric symbolizes only broken promises and slavery to many is OFFENSIVE to the American people. Somehow, it’s more offensive to be reminded of our broken treaties with our Indigenous population, and our building this nation on the blood, sweat and tears of a people that we kidnapped from their homeland to pick our cotton and keep our homes, than it is to see a “president” insult our Constitution, and our populace, group by group.

We can’t bear the thought that we might not have as good reason to call ourselves a “proud nation” as we once believed, so we wrap it in the flag, as we always have, or sweep it under the voluminous robes of The Church, or it’s excused and accepted by others in high places who’ve done the same crime, with hush money going to the loudest victims.

My more perfect day will come again, when we put down our collective foot, and start insisting that our Federal Government get back to making policy that makes sense and SERVES the American People.

My more perfect day will come, when we no longer tolerate a Kakistocracy, run by rapists and Russian agents.

My more perfect day will come when we have returned Federal Land (at least here in California) to its rightful People- the Indigenous People.

My more perfect day will come, when our Federal Government takes responsibility and makes restitution and reparations for having done permanent damage to the psyches of countless families and young children, by caging them at our border.

My more perfect day will come when our Federal Government remembers who cuts their paychecks, and starts sending Federal Aid, where it is needed.

My more perfect day will come, when we once again, have a president with some class, and a basic working knowledge of how a democratic republic is run.

In the meantime, a Facebook Friend of mine, (Linda Scanlan) says much of this, much more “perfectly” than I:
