They Were Never Lost

The post above refers to the Native American children who were once sentenced to death by the “good Christian school system”.

A very wise Native American author and activist named LaNada Warjack argues RIGHTLY that the bodies of these children haven’t really been found, but only recovered.

The facts have long been accessible to anyone that cared to learn “unwhitewashed” history, as well as to those who LIVED IT and passed that knowledge down to their children.

We children and grandchildren of Holocaust survivors can empathize. The Irish can empathize. Any people ever oppressed can empathize.

We all knew where those children were buried, and their remains should long ago have been returned to their people, but that would have meant admitting that we were guilty of mass murder.

YES, “WE”.

We may not have been the ones to abuse, rape and starve the children We didn’t wield the scissors that cut their hair, or with our own hands rip the Native clothing off their bodies in order to force them to wear “proper American clothing”.

BUT WE ARE ACCESSORIES AFTER THE FACT.

We turned a blind eye, every time a treaty was (AND STILL IS) broken. Our government knows and won’t admit to condoning the gifting of smallpox infected blankets to
