Breaking news from Washington:

So a lot has already changed, under 45, and none of it for the better. I’ve repeatedly mentioned all that this administration has stolen from the US, but one other thing that bears repeating and remembering is that:

The damage to our economy and reputation will not simply end or disappear with the death of this administration.

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/trumps-economic-boasts-grow-increasingly-divorced-reality

Supreme Court Justices have been installed, roll backs of environmental policies have been signed and enacted, and billions of dollars have been lost from the farming industry and the tourism industry.

I’ve mentioned these losses before, and I’ve mentioned the loss of our previously decent global reputation, and one thing I may or may not have made clear is the extent of the damage to our FUTURE.

The Supreme Court Justices that have been installed under this administration, will keep ruling against the best interest of the People, because they were hand picked for having an attitude toward life that life is less sacred than the almighty dollar. They were chosen by a racist and greedy “leader” because their lack of a moral compass matched his own.

They don’t cringe when they’re asked to rule against immigrants trying to come across the border to escape persecution or starvation. They don’t see anything wrong with ruling in favor of large corporations that lobby against restrictive regulations that are meant to protect our environment and they don’t care about US (or any other) citizens that are in need of financial aid to be able to afford their healthcare and medications, so they’ll rule on the side of infinite inflation of insurance costs, as well.

My own insurance premiums, went up at least 4 times, in one year, a couple years ago, before I was able to get a reasonable price again. Obama Care made it possible for me to get a better rate, after my insurance had lapsed for 6 months. (I hate to think what would have happened if I’d gotten sick enough to need a hospital visit within that six months).

Gas prices have also shot up (https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/25/trumps-gas-prices-midterms-570916); large corporations have laid off slews of employees, after having received tax cuts under this administration https://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/these-companies-started-firing-employees-right-after-getting-tax-cuts-from-trump.html/?a=viewall, and people are going to DIE ……..because their heating assistance will be cut. https://www.cbpp.org/research/food-assistance/administrations-2018-budget-would-severely-weaken-and-cut-the-supplemental.

Lazarus was a nice story. People don’t come back from the dead.

Once our vulnerable elders are dead and gone from hypothermia, their wisdom and experience will be gone with them.

Poor people will soon be dying of malnutrition, due to the new restrictions on the SNAP program, (https://www.cbpp.org/research/food-assistance/administrations-2018-budget-would-severely-weaken-and-cut-the-supplemental) and Flint still doesn’t have clean water and Puerto Rico still doesn’t have water or power. All this and the “President” is discussing a “Space Force” program that will cost billions, when he doesn’t even believe in climate change, or is actively trying to bury the truth.

The same science that puts people into outer space is the same science that proves that we have caused our ice caps to melt pre-maturely and with an ominous rapidity that bodes ill for every living creature on Earth.

So I leave you with these happy thoughts:

This is what we’ve come to.

It’s nothing to be proud of.

It’s not going away soon.

We want better, and we deserve better from our Federal Government, and so does the rest of the world, because when we pollute our water tables and air, we ruin it for other countries.

We have a responsibility to end this administration, before it destroys more of the environment than we can possibly expect to be able to repair in our own life- time.

Our task is not impossible. …………It will take time to repair the damage that this administration has done to our once great nation, and it will take time for our politicians, news stations and social media to win back the public trust. It will take time to rebuild our economy to the point at which Obama left it, for us: https://soapboxie.com/us-politics/14-Facts-About-The-Obama-Presidency-That-Most-People-Dont-Know and it will take even longer to undo the roll backs of the welfare programs and environmental protections that came out of the “Obama Era”.

It will take time, and it will be well worth doing, and it only requires demanding the administration that we deserve, and insisting that our politicians remember that they are accountable to EVERY VOTING AMERICAN.
