Truth is Everywhere
Truth like everything else is in the eye of the beholder. Some want to see it in religion, which is fine as long as we keep in mind that there is always a catch. I’ll get to it, but first have a look at the meme that makes my case for me.
Someone, other than myself made a very good point when they commented below the meme:
Cherry picking to the max. Ignoring where they all contradict each other and come into direct conflict. Ignoring the fact that all of them that make extraordinary claims have not proven them to be true.
My thoughts on the matter follow:
I was indoctrinated (Jewish) and I see now that there was very little of real truth/value in it. Some of the most valuable things I’ve ever learned, I learned OUTSIDE of the indoctrination: Be kind to everyone no matter what they look like, where they’re from or how they pray/love, etc…….Believe in yourself……Live for yourself and not to please others…….Everyone’s got baggage, so be nice……..A smile/kind word/gesture can save a life…….(Someone may be having a REALLY bad day and considering ending it PERMANENTLY). ……..Killing, stealing and being a jerk are bad things to do no matter where you go……If your religion tells you to kill then you need to do some serious reflection on why you’re clinging to a religion that tells you to be a bad person and if it’s going to be worth the…
