“We encourage employees to wash their hands….”
We encourage employees to wash their hands after using the bathroom,” she continued, “but understand that some people may be allergic to certain soaps or may simply prefer not to wash their hands. It is not our place to tell them what to do………
That is an excerpt from a satirical sign in the window of Freedom Cafe. It’s one of the funniest and most coherent arguments for mask wearing that I’ve found since the beginning of the era of Covid. The news article with the rest of the sign can be found HERE.
The point is that anti maskers and vaxers are only interested in their own “freedoms” and in making this all about those freedoms, while at the same time infringing on everyone else’s freedom to know that they’re not going to get sick from eating in the same restaurant with you or sitting near you in a plane, or bus.
Someone else made an argument that had to do with putting a small hole only in your own side of a life raft filled with survivors of a ship wreck. That raft is going to sink and EVERYONE ON IT is going to go down with you, even though you may have had a perfect right to puncture that raft near your own seat.
Then there’s THIS guy who points out just how STUPID anti-maskers and vaxers would have sounded on the Titanic, if they were talking about having to put on life-jackets as the ship was sinking.
This one is an oldy, but a goody: The Pee Test.
